Huntington Meat Packing of Montebello, California is recalling a variety beef products that may be linked to a series of E. coli-linked illnesses.
The meat recall involves approximately 864,000 pounds of beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.
It’s only January and already almost 1 million pounds of beef have been recalled. Isn’t that amazing?
Every year more than 500 million pounds of beef are
recalled due to some form of contamination. Contaminated meat is responsible for millions of cases of food poisoning and more than 3,000 deaths per year… every year!
Remember, you vote with your dollars. Every time you make a purchase (or not) you are letting big business and the government know what we stand for.
We have the power. We just have to collectively come together, make a stand, and make a difference.
